During our September Chapter meeting, we voted to increase our membership fee amounts. We also voted to offer an equity pot we are calling the Ujamaa Offering to offset those increases.
As such, those interested in Harambee Circle will have to complete 2 processess to achieve this membership.
(1) Visit the national website to renew or apply for membership.
(2) Visit Baltimore Legacy website to complete the Harambee Level application & process additional payment at the bottom of this page.

Our newly-reactivated chapter is growing by leaps and bounds, and can only be a strong collective body with you as an active participant!
Membership (and attendance at meetings and conferences) is available to individuals of African Descent who have a strong commitment to the social welfare of the Black Community, regardless of degree or area of profession.

There are benefits to membership, which include:
General Membership Annual Fee -- $100.00
Senior Annual Fee -- $60.00
Student Membership Annual Fee -- $45.00
Harambee Membership Annual Fee - $150.00
Membership dues renew on a calendar year (January-December).
Persons can join or renew at any time. The official renewal period is September 1 - October 31.
FOR STUDENTS: Many colleges and universities have student chapters. Students whose schools do not have a chapter are welcomed to join Baltimore Legacy Chapter at the student rate.
"Harambee" is a Swahili term meaning "all pull together" Traditionally, NABSW meetings and gatherings typically end with the group holding hands in a circle, shouting "Harambee!" 7 times while raising collective hands.
The Harambee Circle is comprised of members who invest $150 (inclusive of their annual membership dues) with goal of "pulling together" resources to ensure Baltimore Legacy can thrive.
We honor their commitment by acknowledging their steadfastness to the ideals of the Baltimore Legacy Chapter & NABSW.
