Peace Baltimore Legacy Family,
In the spirit of Harambee ("Let's pull together" in Swahili), we are continuing communication to our members during this international pandemic. We hope everyone is safe and in good health.
In addition, we recognize the impact of the recent murders of Black people due to racism and/or abuse of power by police. As if the pandemic was not enough, we are all emotionally exhausted.
With that said, the safety and well-being of our community continues to be paramount. As such and as members of NABSW, we continue our obligation to promote the well-being and safety of the collective.
As of this update, the State of Maryland has progressed to a 2nd phase of its reopening plan. The City of Baltimore is in PHASE 1 of its reopening plan. With this in mind, the Baltimore Legacy Chapter will continue to take a cautious approach in our programming and service. More information on the Reopening plans for the City and State are available at their respective websites.
We will continue to host virtual events and meetings until further notice. Please check the event calendar for upcoming virtual events, meetings, and workshops. If you have not done so already, please join our email list for updates directly to your inbox.
We continue to encourage all of our members to heed all advice given by reputable resources to help decrease the amount of community spread of the virus. Please stay home, practice social distancing, maintain a cleanliness regimen for yourself & your home, and manage your mental health. Reach out to family, friends, and neighbors. Care for one another.
We will continue to post updates and resource information on our website. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 443.529.0253.
